Die Kürbiskernöl Erfolgsformel bei der Aussaat
Pumpkin sowing with tractor

Making good pumpkin seed oil starts long before pressing. In order to harvest solid pumpkin fruits, it first must be sown. The field is being prepared and then the pumpkin seeds are sown. But how much space do we give our pumpkins to spread? Our formula for success in sowing pumpkin seeds is 140-70-4. What is behind these mysterious numbers?

  • 140 cm is the row spacing of the plants.
  • 70 cm is the distance between the individual plants. So the pumpkin plants have enough space to grow.
  • And we "sink" our pumpkin seeds 4 cm deep. So the roots are well supplied and can provide nutrients to the pumpkin fruits well.

The result of 140-70-4 you can then taste in our awarded pumpkin seed oil!

In the video below you can see how the placement of pumpkin seeds is done by a seeder with the tractor in the field.
