Pumpkin Seed Oil Marble Cake

Preparation

  1. Whisk the egg yolks with powdered sugar until frothy. Divide this mixture and add 4 tbsp pumpkin seed oil to one half and 4 tbsp sunflower oil to the other half. Gradually stir about 5 tbsp water into each mixture.
  2. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add it to each mixture. Finally, gently fold in the egg whites, which have been whipped with granulated sugar.
  3. Pour one mixture into a greased and the other into a floured cake or tart pan. Stir once briefly to create the marbling effect. Bake at 180°C for about 50 minutes.
